<br />appropnate actIOn, and wIll make a wntten recommendatIOn to the CIty regardmg the <br />City's acceptance of the Project. <br /> <br />ReSIdent ConstructIOn Management/InspectIOn ServIces <br /> <br />1 15.22 ProvIde resIdent constructIOn management/inspectIOn servIces as described m <br />subsectIOns 1 5 8, 1 5 17, 1 5.22, 1 5.23, 1 5.24, 1 5.25, 1 5.26, and 1 5 30, through one <br />resIdent ConstructIOn Manager ("CM") and one ResIdent Engmeer ("RE") The CM wIll <br />observe the constructIOn, conduct a weekly meetmg wIth the Contractor, attend the <br />monthly coordmatmg meetmgs wIth the Contractor and the CIty, be the first reVIewer of <br />Contractor-mItIated RFI submIttals, and work wIth the CIty'S representatIve m <br />mamtammg project records. The RE wIll perform mspectIOn actIvItIes under the general <br />dIrectIOn of the CM. The RE wIll attend weekly meetmgs wIth the Contractor and wIll <br />prepare the mmutes of these meetmgs. The monthly meetmgs wIll be attended by eIther <br />the Engmeer's Project Manager or the CM, and the Engmeer's representatIve wIll prepare <br />mmutes documentmg these meetmgs. The CIty and the Engmeer assume that the <br />constructIOn schedule wIll be 12 months. The constructIOn IS expected to begm m Apnl <br />2005 and end m March 2006 The Engmeer has mcorporated an addItIonal two months <br />mto resIdent sIte observatIOns to allow for potentIal schedule slIppage As these servIces <br />WIll be compensated on an hourly, not-to-exceed basIs, the costs assOCIated wIth these <br />addItIonal two months of servIce wIll be mcurred only If the Contractor IS not be able to <br />meet the specIfied 12-month schedule <br /> <br />1 15.23 Staff a field office on the Project sIte for the purposes of provIdmg personnel to <br />mspect the Contractor's work. The Engmeer wIll Issue field mstructIOns, orders or <br />SImIlar documents dunng constructIOn as provIded m the constructIOn contract <br />documents. The RE wIll document all field mstructIOns, orders or approvals. <br /> <br />1 15.24 ASSISt m coordmatmg CIty-prOVIded testmg, mspectIon and survey servIces. In <br />addItIon the Engmeer wIll reVIew the reports and other mformatIOn prepared by the <br />mdependent firms that are provIded to the CIty The Engmeer wIll assIst m coordmatmg <br />theIr schedules and the transmIttal of theIr reports, findmgs or other mformatIOn to the <br />Contractor and/or the CIty The Engmeer wIll not be responsible for the accuracy or <br />completeness of the work and reports of the mdependent testmg, mspectIOn and survey <br />firms. <br /> <br />1 15.25 Mamtam wntten reports, dIanes and other records of mspectIOns. The RE wIll <br />arrange for photographs to be taken (in dIgItal format) of the Contractor's work m <br />progress on a monthly basIs. Monthly photograph logs wIll be provIded to the CIty on <br />CD <br /> <br />1 15.26 Not guarantee the performance of the Contractor m constructmg the ProJect. <br />The RE's mspectIOns wIll not relIeve the Contractor from responsibIlIty for performmg <br />the work m accordance wIth the constructIOn contract documents. The Engmeer wIll not, <br />through the RE' s performance of constructIOn mspectIons, assume lIabIlIty m any respect <br />for the constructIOn of the ProJect.
