<br />69. <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />February 1, 2005 <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Session at 6 03 P m and Mr Mihalkanin seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanlmously <br /> <br />F""'*' <br /> <br />Mr Mihalkanin moved the Council reconvene into public meeting <br />p m and continue Executive Session later in the meeting, <br />Thomaides seconded the motlon, whlch passed unanimously <br /> <br />at <br />and <br /> <br />6 55 <br />Mr <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration action or direction <br /> <br />matters <br />provided <br />possible <br />prospect <br /> <br />discussed in Executlve Session Mr 0' Leary stated <br />an update on the MacKenzie lawsuit from outside <br />purchase of greenspace and an update on an economic <br />in the IH 35/McCarty area <br /> <br />to Staff on <br />Council was <br />Counsel, a <br />development <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz lead the Pledge of Alleglance <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced the Cltizen Comment Perlod 1) Amy Kirwin thanked <br />the Council for hosting the Citizen Summit on January 27, 2005 and the <br />Unrelated Persons Workshop on Monday, January 31, 2005 She also thanked <br />Dr Rigsby for facilitating the Cltizen Summit She stated CONA will be <br />hosting a meetlng on Thursday, February 3, 2005 at 7 00 P m with several <br />City of San Marcos Directors 2) Tom Rowe stated he has been a resldent of <br />San Marcos for twenty-one years He stated he will be moving to Colorado <br />and will miss San Marcos He thanked the City for everything they have ,~ <br />done <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz lntroduced the Staff Report Mr O'Leary stated he did not <br />have a staff report for thls meeting <br /> <br />Mayor Narvalz lntroduced the City Councll's Report 1) Mr Taylor stated <br />he attended the Convention and Visitors Bureau meeting last week He <br />stated the Convention and Visitors Bureau is willing to send one or two <br />people to the ISCC In Las Vegas 2) Mr Thomaldes thanked the Mllitary <br />for participating in the Military Proclamations earller this evening He <br />also stated the Army National Guard representative Major Dletz was unable <br />to attend tonlght, but he has Just returned from Iraq and was dispatched <br />to Washington D C over the weekend 3) Mr Thomaides stated he attended a <br />Minority Economic and Tourism Development Board meetlng last week He <br />stated their budget will soon be coming to the Council for review 4) Mr <br />Thomaldes stated he attended a Main Street Advisory Board meeting last <br />week, which he felt was very interesting <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held January 18, 2005, adoption of three Ordinances on <br />third and final reading, adoption of SlX Resolutlons, and approval of <br />Change In Services No 3 in the amount of $42,870 00 In regard to the <br />Wastewater Master Plan with PBS&J, on consensus The Council removed <br />Items 14, 16 and 18, adoptlon of Resolutions, to be considered separately <br />Mr Thomaides moved for approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting held <br /> <br />~~ <br />
