RESOLUTION 2005- 18 R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, RESCINDING THE CONTRACT AWARD MADE TO LAWRENCE MARSHALL CHEVROLET II FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO CHEVROLET CREW CAB TRUCKS FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, STREET DIVISION THROUGH THE HOUSTON GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM ("HGAC"), AWARDING A CONTRACT TO CLASSIC CHEVROLET FOR THE PURCHASE OF THESE TWO TRUCKS THROUGH THE HGAC, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE RECITALS 1 On December 6, 2004 the City Council awarded a contract to Lawrence Marshall Chevrolet II for the purchase of two 2005 Chevrolet 2500 HD crew cab trucks for the Public Works Department, Street Division from the HGAC 2 The City has been notified that the HGAC has cancelled its contract with Lawrence Marshall Chevrolet and re-awarded the contract to Classic Chevrolet. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS PART 1 The contract award made to Lawrence Marshall Chevrolet II for the purchase of two 2005 Chevrolet 2500 HD crew cab trucks for the Public Works Department, Street Division in the amount of $54,496 00 is rescinded PART 2 The purchase of two 2005 Chevrolet 2500 HD crew cab trucks for the Public Works Department, Street Division from Classic Chevrolet in the amount of $52,74650 is approved PART 3 The Purchasing Manager, Cheryl Pantermuehl, is authorized to execute appropriate contract documents on behalf of the City PART 4 This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its passage ADOPTED this the 1st day of February, 2005 1
