<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />February 15, 2005 <br /> <br />103. <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />door to door The Council agreed by consensus to consider Options 1 and 2 <br />and bring back a discussion on Option 3 Mayor Narvaiz inquired whether <br />parking in yards is a part of the current Nuisance Abatement Code Mr <br />O'Leary stated there is no prohibition of parking in yards He stated the <br />Council took up the issue of parking in yards, a couple of years ago and <br />decided not to regulate this Mr Mihalkanin stated the Council decided <br />parking in yards was connected to state law, which states as long as a <br />vehicle is operable, then the vehicle can be parked in a driveway, but if <br />the car is on blocks and has no wheels for a long period of time, then <br />City could request the owner to do something with the vehicle Mr <br />O'Leary stated the City currently has an Ordinance which prohibits this <br />kind of scenario Mayor Narvaiz stated she would like to discuss the <br />concept of a Neighborhood Advisory Committee, which might help with the <br />process of reviewing complaints, the Nuisance Abatement Program and with <br />the potential next phase of these Options Mr O'Leary stated a <br />correction that the newly adopted Land Development Code prohibits cars <br />parked in yards <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of two appointments to <br />the Human Services Advisory Board Mr Guerrero moved to appoint Leslie <br />Kramer, which passed unanimously The remaining appointment will be <br />rescheduled <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to <br />the Economic Development Council Mr Mihalkanin moved to appoint Chris <br />Carson as the Board of Realtors representative, which passed unanimously <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to <br />the Construction Board of Appeals Mr Taylor moved to appoint Bill <br />Watson as the master election representative, which passed unanimously <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to <br />the Ethics Review Commission Mr Bose moved to appoint Tom McNair and Mr <br />Taylor moved to appoint Elizabeth Nash On roll call the following vote <br />was recorded <br /> <br />McNair <br /> <br />S <br /> <br />Bose <br /> <br />Diaz, Guerrero, Narvaiz and Taylor <br /> <br />Abstain <br /> <br />Mihalkanin and Thomaides <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration confirmation of the City <br />Manager's appointment to the Civil Service Commission Mr Guerrero moved <br />to confirm the City Manager's appointment of Cheryl McWilliams to the <br />Civil Service Commission, and Mr Taylor seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously <br />
