<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />127. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO 2005-.29.,.R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS ESTABLISHING A <br />DOWNTOWN MASTER PLAN TASK FORCE; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> <br />RECITALS' <br /> <br />1 The CIty CouncIl wIshes to establIsh a temporary task force m connectIOn wIth the <br />preparatIOn of a master plan for the downtown area of the CIty <br /> <br />2. The CIty Council desIres to specIfy the role of the task force m the master plan <br />preparatIOn process. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS. <br /> <br />PART 1. Creation of Downtown Master Plan Task Force. <br /> <br />A. A Temporary Downtown Master Plan Task Force IS formed. The Task Force will be <br />composed of seven votmg members appomted by the CIty Council to represent the followmg <br />stakeholder groups (WIth one votmg member bemg nommated by each Council Member) <br /> <br />1 Plannmg and Zomng CommISSIOn <br />2 Histonc PreservatIOn CommISSIOn <br />3 San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce <br />4 Mam Street AdVISOry Board <br />5 Dunbar NeIghborhood AssocIatIOn <br />6 Hentage NeIghborhood ASSOCiatIOn <br />7 Downtown ASSOCiatIon <br /> <br />B The Task Force will also mclude two non-votmg members, one deSIgnated by the Hays <br />County CommISSIOners Court to represent Hays County, and the other deSIgnated by the <br />PreSIdent of Texas State UmversIty-San Marcos to represent Texas State UmversIty-San Marcos. <br /> <br />PART 2. Role and Duration of the Task Force. <br /> <br />A. The role of the Task Force will be to proVIde focused mput to the CIty'S consultant <br />and the CIty staff m the preparatIOn of the Downtown Master Plan wIth respect to publIc <br />outreach and organIzatIOn of the process. <br /> <br />B There WIll be a senes of publIc meetmgs to formulate key recommendatIOns on <br />downtown optIOns. The Task Force will help organIze thIS matenal mto a draft plan and forward <br />It to the Plannmg and Zonmg CommISSIOn and the CIty CounCIl. Upon forwardmg theu plan to <br /> <br />J <br />
