TEXAS, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br />CITY AND THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT Of TRANSPORTATION <br />FOR CLOSURE OF STATE HIGHWAYS FOR THE GREAT <br />AMERICAN RACE, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> <br />RECITALS <br /> <br />1 The Texas Department of Transportation ("TxDOT") has authorized the <br />closure of certain state highways in connection with the Great American Race to be <br />conducted on April 9, 2005, subject to the execution of the attached agreement. <br /> <br />Be IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS <br /> <br />PART 1 The attached Request for Texas Right-Of-Way Use Agreement for <br />Special Events between the City and TxDOT is approved <br /> <br />PART 2 The City Manager, Dan O'Leary, is authorized to execute the <br />Agreement on behalf of the City <br /> <br />PART 3 This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and <br />after its passage <br /> <br />ADOPTED this the 1 S1! day of March 2005 <br /> <br />~~M4I~ <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />~ah <br /> <br />Mayor <br />
