<br />Special Meeting <br /> <br />November 16, 2005 <br /> <br />73. <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPOINTING PRESIDING JUDGES AND ALTERNATE JUDGES TO SERVE IN A SPECIAL <br />RUNOFF ELECTION TO BE HELD ON DECEMBER 6, 2005; CHARGING THE JUDGES <br />WITH THE DUTY TO HOLD THIS ELECTION IN THEIR RESPECTIVE POLLING PLACES <br />FOR EACH PRECINCT, APPOINTING AN EARLY VOTING BALLOT BOARD; APPOINTING <br />A PRESIDING JUDGE OF THE CENTRAL COUNTING STATION, A TABULATION <br />SUPERVISOR OF THE CENTRAL COUNTING STATION, AND A CENTRAL COUNTING <br />STATION MANAGER; APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE PRESIDING JUDGE OF <br />THE CENTRAL COUNTING STATION OF CERTAIN CLERKS; APPROVING THE <br />APPOINTMENT BY THE TABULATION SUPERVISOR OF CERTAIN ASSISTANTS, <br />APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE EARLY VOTING CLERK OF CERTAIN DEPUTY <br />EARLY VOTING CLERKS, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> <br />Mr Mihalkanin moved for adoption of the Resolution, and Mr Guerrero <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz issued the Certificate of Election to the elected City <br />Council Member, Place 3, Daniel Guerrero a copy which is attached to the <br />minutes Janis Womack, City Clerk administered the Oath of Office to <br />Daniel Guerrero, a copy which is attached to these minutes <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the Government <br />Code, Section 551 087, to discuss commercial or financial information the <br />City has received from a business prospect that the City seeks to have <br />locate, stay or expand in or near the City and with which the City is <br />conducting economic development negotiations, or to deliberate the offer of <br />a financial or other incentive to such a business prospect (IH35/McCarty <br />Lane area, Hunter Road area, and IH35/Technology Way area) The Council <br />adjourned into Executive Session at 6 53 P m <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz announced the Council would reconvene at 7 53 P m <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration adoption or direction to Staff <br />on matters discussed in Executive Session Mr O'Leary stated the Council <br />provided direction regarding a business prospects in the IH35/McCarty Lane <br />area, Hunter Road area and in the IH35/Technology Way area <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 7 59 P m on motion made by Mr Diaz and seconded <br />by Mr Guerrero <br /> <br />s~~ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />I <br />
