ORDINANCE NO. 2011- 5 3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING SECTION 2.351 OF THE SAN MARCOS CITY CODE TO REVISE THE COMPOSITION OF THE CONVENTION AND VISITOR BUREAU ADVISORY BOARD; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 2.351 of the San Marcos City Code is amended as set forth below. Added text is indicated by underlining. Deleted text is indicated by strikethroughs. Sec. 2.351. Created; composition; terms; officers. (a) The convention and visitors bureau advisory board is created, composed of 13 voting members appointed by the city council as described in subsection (b), and six non- voting ex- officio members: the city manager or a desiiznee of the city manager. the president of the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce, the chair and vice -chair of the board of the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce, a representative designated by Centro Cultural Hispano de San Marcos, and the economic development director of [the] Eeenefnie Development--M Greater San Marcos Partnership_ or a desia_nee of the partnership president.
