FIELD NOTES VOL nJl;O ;, '"" 9 ~'-Jl "fAtE qt"., This parcel of land contains 4800 square feet at the San Marcos Airport, and lies wholly within that 1378.3381 acre pan Marcos Airport tract out of the William Pettus Two League Grant, Caldwell County, Texas, as shown on that plat dated 12 September 1989 by Charles R. Swart, Surveyor. This parcel is shown on a plat dated 3 April 2000 by Charles R. Swart, Surveyor, and is described by metes and bounds in the following paragraphs. Each aluminum capped iron monument noted is a 5/8 inch diameter iron bar, 18 inches long, with a 2 inch diameter aluminum cap marked SAN MARCOS AIRPORT 2000 (No.) W.C. 2' OFFSET CHARLES R. SWART SURVEYOR and with the point number shown on the plat and cited herein. Bearings are based on the center line bearing of State Highway No. 21 as shown on the right of way map of the Texas Highway Department dated March 1937, as the center line was found marked on the ground between stations 129 + 53 and 158 + 10. The point cited herein as the West Reference Mark (point 50) is a 3/8 inch diameter drill hole near the west end of the concrete parking ramp, and 9.5 feet north of the south edge of the ramp. The point cited herein as the East Reference Point (point 51) is a 3/8 inch diameter copper tube in the concrete parking ramp opposite the east legs of the old control tower, and 9.5 feet north of the south edge of the ramp. From the West Reference Mark, the East Reference Mark bears South 89 degrees 58 minutes 34 seconds East a distance of 1505.44 feet. Beginning at the northeast corner of this parcel (point 1842), which is marked with a 3/8 inch diameter iron spike, from which the East Reference Point (point 51) bears North 00 degrees 06 minutes 21 seconds East a distance of 55.37 feet and thence North 89 degrees 58 minutes 34 seconds West a distance of 796.53 feet. From point 1842 an aluminum capped iron witness monument (point 1846) bears South 89 degrees 53 minutes 39 seconds East a distance of 2.00 feet. Thence, from the point of beginning, South 00 degrees 06 minutes 21 seconds West along the east line of this parcel a distance of 80.00 feet to the southeast corner (point 1843) of this parcel, which is marked with a 1/4 inch diameter drill hole in the concrete, from which a 1/4 inch diameter hole drilled in the concrete (point 1847) bears South 89 degrees 53 minutes 39 seconds East a distance of 2.00 feet: thence North 89 degrees 53 minutes 39 seconds West along the south line of this parcel a distance of 60.00 feet to the southwest corner (point 1844) of this parcel, which is marked wi th a 3/8 inch diameter iron spike (point 1844), from which an aluminum capped iron witness monument (point 1848) bears North 89 degrees 53 minutes 39 seconds West a distance of 2.00 feet: thence North 00 degrees 06 minutes 21 seconds East along the west line of this parcel a distance of 80.00 feet to the northwest corner (point 1845) of this parcel, which is marked with a 3/8 inch diameter iron spike, from which an aluminum capped iron witness monument (point 1849) bears North 89 degrees 53 minutes 39 seconds West a distance of 2.00 feet: thence South 89 degrees 53 minutes 39 seconds East along the north line of this parcel a distance of 60.00 feet to the point of beginning. ********** I, CHARLES R.
