<br />b. Customer interactive (two-way) transmissions required for the selection or use of video <br />programming or other programming services (such as, for example, customers' accessing and <br />utilization of data bases, the Internet, video game services, or other services), to the extent <br />they are "cable service" under federal law. <br /> <br />5. City Facilities means the electric distribution system facilities and equipment owned or <br />controlled by the City, including the Poles. <br /> <br />6. Communications Service means the provision of Telecommunications Service or Cable <br />Service over wire, cable or wireless facilities utilizing Attachments to the Poles. <br /> <br />7. Conduit System means the underground conduit, Innerduct, manholes, vaults, risers, pull- <br />boxes and trenches of the City's electric utility system. <br /> <br />8. Licensee's Facilities means all of the Licensee's Attachments, and all other cables, wires, <br />all associated equipment used by the Licensee in the City to provide Communications Service. <br /> <br />9. Make-Ready Work means all work on the City Facilities determined by the City to be <br />required to accommodate the Licensee's Attachments or to comply with all of the Applicable <br />Standards. Make-Ready Work includes, but is not limited to, rearrangement or transfer of existing <br />Attachments, inspections, engineering work, permitting work, tree trimming, and the installation, <br />upgrade, strengthening, or replacement of Poles. <br /> <br />10. Other Licensee means a person or entity other than the Licensee with which the City has <br />executed a license agreement to place Attachments on the Poles. <br /> <br />11. Permit means a written authorization of the City for the Licensee to make, or maintain, <br />Attachments to specific Poles. <br /> <br />12. Pole means a City electric distribution system pole that IS capable of supporting <br />Attachments. <br /> <br />13. Pre-Permit Survey means work performed by or for the City to determine the Make- <br />Ready Work necessary to accommodate the Licensee's Attachments on a Pole. This work includes, <br />but is not limited to, field inspection, loading calculations, facility design, and administrative <br />processmg. <br /> <br />14. Reserved Space means space on a Pole that the City has reserved for <br /> <br />a. the City's current or planned future electric utility service, including any plan for moving <br />the neutral as part of converting phases; or <br /> <br />b. the future attachment of City communications facilities. <br /> <br />Areas of Reserved Space are defined in the Technical Specifications or specified in Permits. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />C:\TEMP\Grande pole att final.doc <br />
