On July 11, 2000, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos <br />held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from "C" Commercial District to <br />"MF-2" Multi-Family District (Medium Density) for Lot 2, Block Q, Hughson Heights, Section <br />3, located at 2901 Bishop Street. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />did, on July 11, 2000 consider and vote to approve the request, and has recommended that the <br />request be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 28th day of August <br />2000, regarding the request. <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code pertaining to <br />zoning map amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 114.029 of <br />the San Marcos City Code, is amended to rezone the following real property which is presently <br />zoned "C" Commercial District to "MF-2" Multi-Family District (Medium Density): <br /> <br />Street address: 2901 N. Bishop Street. <br /> <br />Legal description: Lot 2, Block Q, Hughson Heights. <br /> <br />Deed or plat reference: Volume 4, page 191-195, Hays County Plat Records. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. The Future Land Use Plan ofthe San Marcos Horizons City Master Plan is <br />revised to conform to these zoning map amendments. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. Any person violating any prOVlSlon of this ordinance commits a <br />misdemeanor and is subject to the penalty provided in Section 1.015 of the San Marcos City <br />Code upon conviction. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. After its original passage, this ordinance will be subject to reconsideration <br />at the next regular City Council meeting. If this ordinance is not reconsidered, or if it is <br />reconsidered and approved, notice of its adoption will be published in a newspaper of general <br />circulation in the City. This ordinance will take effect upon publication of this notice. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 28thday of August <br />subject to reconsideration at the next regular City Council meeting scheduled for <br />September 11, 2000. <br /> <br />,2000, <br />
