6. Invocation Pastor John McComb with San Marcos Community Church provided the invocation. 7. Pledges of Allegiance - United States and Texas Jorge Adrian Vasquez Lopez a 5th grade member of the Hernandez Ambassadors Club from Hernandez Elementary led the assembly in the pledges of allegiance. 8.30 Minute Citizen Comment Period Scott Gregson, 120 W. Hopkins Suite 200, spoke in support of the TIRZ downtown. He thanked staff, Mr. Gaylord Bose, and the Downtown Association for the moving so quickly. Mr. Gregson thanked Council for their leadership. Tyler Carlson, 136 Hunters Glen Dr, spoke in regards to the Windemere project and the needed protection of the river that is needed due to the size of the development. Ted Breihan, 11.1 W. Hillcrest, provided Council with a written statement regarding the North Campus Project. Maxfield Baker, 1012 Haynes St, spoke in support of the banning of single use plastic bags.
