On July 11, 2000, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos <br />held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning a 57.47 acre tract of property <br />located to the Northeast of the 700 and 800 blocks of Civic Center Loop from "LB" Limited <br />Business District and "LI" Light Industrial District to "MF-4" Multi-Family District (High <br />Density), and by rezoning a 3.76 acre tract of property located to the Northeast of the 700 and <br />800 blocks of Civic Center Loop from "PD" Pre-Development District to "LI" Light Industrial <br />District; <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />did, on July 11, 2000 consider and vote to approve the request, and has recommended that the <br />request be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 25th day of September <br />2000, regarding the request. <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code pertaining to <br />zoning map amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 114.029 of <br />the San Marcos City Code, is amended to rezone the following real property which is presently <br />zoned "LB" Limited Business District and "LI" Light Industrial District to "MF-4" Multi-Family <br />District (High Density): <br /> <br />Street address: Northeast of the 700 and 800 Blocks of Civic Center Loop. <br /> <br />Size: 57.47 acres. <br /> <br />Legal description: See the metes and bounds description attached as Exhibit A. <br /> <br />Deed or plat reference: Volume 1495, page 205, Hays County Deed Records. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 114.029 of <br />the San Marcos City Code, is amended to rezone the following real property which is presently <br />zoned "PD" Pre-Development District to "LI" Light Industrial District: <br />
