EI has been manufacturing the highest quality digital and microprocessor based instruments since 1973. <br />With this new warranty guide, EI takes the lead in standing by its product significantly longer than almost all its competitors. <br /> <br />El's Commitment to Quality Manufacturing and Design <br /> <br />In the past few years, EI has completed a Total Quality company-wide mission to perfect its manufacturing techniques and <br />reduce warranty repair to the part per million level. This was accomplished by adopting new techniques to reduce component <br />failure and increase product life span. The effort included both engineering and manufacturing. The Total Quality mission has <br />lead to a significant reduction in an already low return rate. Today, the return rate ofEI products is at historically low levels. <br /> <br />EI Commitment to Customer Satisfaction <br /> <br />For many years, EI has not charged for repairs or upgrades for any defects even out of warranty. EI only charges to repair <br />physically damaged instruments. We firmly believe that the key to growth is customer satisfaction. Since we rarely charge <br />customers, extending the warranty does not pose any additional cost to EI or to our collective customers. This is the classic <br />Win-Win situation. <br /> <br />Why are the Instruments So Good? <br /> <br />EI uses name brand components, masked PC boards, optical isolation, MOV protection and many other high quality <br />techniques to insure that the designed product will operate in the harshest electrical environments. In fact, many customers <br />purchase EI product to replace units that repetitively failed in the field. EI also manufactures to IPC 610 - Rev B (electronic <br />manufacturing guidelines) which is the highest industrial standard available.
