<br />129. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2000- 216 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, NOMINATING CANDIDATES AND <br />SEEKING THE ENDORSEMENT BYTHE TEXAS MUNICIPAL <br />LEAGUE FOR COMMITTEES OF THE NATIONAL LEAGUE <br />OF CITIES; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. It is in the interest and welfare of the citizens of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, to have direct representation before the National League of Cities through the <br />membership by City Council Member(s) on the various committees of the National League <br />of Cities. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The following City Council Members are nominated as candidates for <br />appointment to the following respective committees of the National League of Cities: <br /> <br />Candidate <br /> <br />Committee <br /> <br />Joe B. Cox, Jr. <br /> <br />Energy, Environment and Natural <br />Resources Policy Committee <br /> <br />PART 2. The endorsement of the above-named candidates by the Texas Municipal <br />League for appointment to National League of Cities committees is sought. <br /> <br />PART 3. A copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Texas Municipal <br />League. <br /> <br />PART 4.
