<br /> <br /> <br />.a <br />~ <br />..... <br />at. <br /> <br />161. <br /> <br /> <br />C\J <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 2000----11- <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL <br />ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 12.632 ACRE <br />TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 1700 BLOCK OF <br />AQUARENA SPRINGS DRIVE FROM "C" COMMERCIAL <br />DISTRICT AND "MF-5" MULTI-FAMIL Y RESIDENTIAL <br />DISTRICT (HIGH DENSITY) TO "MF-4" MULTI-FAMILY <br />RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT (HIGH DENSITY); INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR <br />PENALTIES. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br /> <br />,-l"' <br />o <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. On September 11, 2000, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San <br />Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from "C" Commercial <br />District and "MF-5" Multi-Family Residential District (High Density) to "MF-4" Multi-Family <br />Residential District (High Density) for a 12.632 acre tract of property located in the 1700 Block <br />of Aquarena Springs Drive. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />did, on September 11, 2000 consider and vote to approve the request, and has recommended that <br />the request be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 27TH day of NOVEMBER <br />2000, regarding the request. <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code pertaining to <br />zoning map amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 114.029 of <br />the San Marcos City Code, is amended to rezone the following real property which is presently <br />zoned "C" Commercial District and "MF-5" Multi-Family Residential District (High Density) to <br />"MF-4" Multi-Family Residential District (High Density): <br /> <br />Street address: 1700 Block of Aquarena Springs Drive. <br /> <br />Size: 12.632 acres. <br />
