<br />~ <br /> <br /> <br />- <br />,....--l <br /> <br /> <br />163. <br /> <br />(:) <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 2000- 72 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL <br />ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 11.661 ACRE <br />TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 200 BLOCK OF <br />MILL STREET FROM "C" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO <br />"MF-3" MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT (HIGH DENSITY), AND <br />BY REZONING A 6.135 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY <br />LOCATED IN THE 200 BLOCK OF MILL STREET FROM "M" <br />SINGLE-F AMIL Y, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD <br />BUSINESS DISTRICT TO "MF-2" MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT <br />(MEDIUM DENSITY); INCLUDING PROCEDURAL <br />PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. On October 24, 2000, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos <br />held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from "C" Commercial District to <br />"MF-3" Multi-Family District (High Density) on a 11.661 acre tract of property located in the <br />200 Block of Mill Street and from "M" Single-Family, Duplex & Neighborhood Business <br />District to "MF-2" Multi-Family District (Medium Density) for a 6.135 acre tract of property <br />located in the 200 Block of Mill Street. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />did, on October 24, 2000 consider and vote to approve the request, and has recommended that <br />the request be approved by the City Council ofthe City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 27th day of November, 2000, regarding <br />the request. <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code pertaining to <br />zoning map amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 114.029 of <br />the San Marcos City Code, is amended to rezone the following real property, which is presently <br />zoned "C" Commercial District to "MF-3" Multi-Family District (High Density): <br /> <br />Street address: 200 Block of Mill Street. <br />
