Section 2.567 of the City Code currently provides that the City Manager is authorized <br />to enter into lease agreements not in conflict with the Charter, city ordinances or state law, <br />for the lease of city-owned property for a term of 15 days or less. <br /> <br />2. The San Marcos Municipal Airport has a number of facilities that are leased on a <br />month-to~month basis, including T-Hangars, T-Shelters and city-owned hangars. <br /> <br />3. The City can terminate these lease agreements on one month's notice. <br /> <br />4. The Airport Commission has recommended an amendment to Section 2.567 of the <br />City Code to authorize the City Manager to execute these month-to-month leases without <br />City Council approval. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 2.567 of the San Marcos Code of Ordinances is amended as <br />follows (underlining indicates added text): <br /> <br />Sec. 2.567 Same - Lease agreements. <br /> <br />(a) The city manager is authorized to enter into lease agreements not in <br />conflict with the charter, city ordinance, or state law, for the lease of city-owned real <br />property for a term of 15 days or less for specific uses that will not result in <br />permanent defacement, alteration or damage to the property. <br /> <br />(b) The city manaaer is authorized to enter into lease aareements not in <br />conflict with the charter. city ordinance. or state law, for the lease of city-owned real <br />property at the San Marcos Municipal Airport on a month-to-month basis for uses <br />that will not result in permanent alteration or damage to the property, <br />
