<br />176. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2000-~R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE <br />APPOINTMENT OF PAULETTE DAUGHERTY AS <br />ASSISTANT CITY CLERK FOR PURPOSES OF VITAL <br />STATISTICS RECORDS ADMINISTRATION; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. Section 191.022 of the Texas Health and Safety Code designates the City <br />Clerk as the local registrar of births and deaths of persons occurring within the City. <br /> <br />2. A need exists for the appointment by the City Clerk of an Assistant City Clerk <br />to serve as a deputy local registrar for purposes of vital statistics records administration. <br /> <br />3. The approval of the City Council is necessary for the appointment of <br />Assistant City Clerks under City Charter Section 4.02. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. That the appointment by the City Clerk of Paulette Daugherty as <br />Assistant City Clerk to serve as deputy local registrar for purposes of vital statistics <br />records administration is approved. <br /> <br />PART 2.
