The City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, provided an opportunity for all <br />interested persons to be heard at two public hearings, held on November 8, 2004 <br />and on November 15, 2004 , to consider the proposed annexation by the City of 160.41 <br />acres, more or less, located in the 3500-4300 blocks of Hunter Road (Hunter's Hollow), in Hays <br />County, Texas (the "Annexation Area"), consisting of the tract of land described by metes and <br />bounds in the attached Exhibit A. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />2. The City has received petitions for annexation from the owners of the property <br />included in the Annexation Area, copies of which are attached as Exhibits B-1 to B-4. <br /> <br />3. An on-site public hearing has not been requested in writing by more than 10% of the <br />adults who are permanent residents of the Annexation Area. <br /> <br />4. A notice of each of the public hearings was published in the San Marcos Daily <br />Record, a newspaper having general circulation in the City and in the Annexation Area, on <br />October 28, 2004 and November 4, 2004 ,thesedatesbeingonorafterthe20th <br />day and before the 10th day before the date of the respective hearings. A notice of each of the <br />public hearings was also posted on the City's Internet website on or after the 20th day and before <br />the 10th day before the date of the respective hearings, and these notices remained posted on the <br />website until the dates of the respective hearings. <br /> <br />5. Prior to the publication of the notices of the public hearings, the City Council directed <br />preparation of a service plan that provided for the extension of municipal services to the <br />Annexation Area. <br /> <br />6. The proposed service plan was made available for inspection and explained to the <br />residents, if any, of the Annexation Area at the public hearings. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />7.
