Draft 11/10/2011 <br />Location <br />As proposed, Zone No. 5 extends from Texas State <br />University to the North, to IH -35 to the South, CM Allen and <br />McKie on the East and several blocks to the West. <br />All of the land within proposed Zone No. 5 is part of the <br />Downtown SmartCode District and currently includes a <br />number of different types of uses including commercial, <br />retail, restaurants and offices within the boundaries. <br />As provided in the April 1, 2010 economic analysis <br />prepared for the City by Urban Advisors for the Downtown <br />Master Plan, the City's goal is to encourage a mix of new <br />uses to accommodate additional housing, office space, <br />retail and parking facilities.
