Duct will be protected from excessive solar heating during storage and <br />installation in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. All thermal <br />expansion and contraction throughout the duct system will be accommodated in <br />expansion joints to be provided by the duct manufacturer. Expansion joint <br />locations are shown on the plans. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />Shop Drawings: Submit scaled layout drawings of fiberglass ductwork and fittings <br />including, but not limited to, duct sizes, locations, elevations, and slopes of horizontal runs, <br />wall and floor penetrations, and connections. Show interface and spatial relationship <br />between ductwork and proximate equipment. Show modifications of indicated <br />requirements, made to conform to local practice, and how those modifications ensure that <br />free area, materials, and rigidity are not reduced. <br /> <br />1.05 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br /> <br />A. Protection: PROPONENT will protect shop-fabricated and factory-fabricated <br />ductwork, accessories and purchased products from damage during shipping, <br />storage and handling as recommended by the manufacturer. Prevent end damage <br />and prevent dirt and moisture from entering ducts and fittings. <br /> <br />B. Storage: Where possible, PROPONENT will store ductwork inside and protect from <br />weather. Where necessary to store outside, store above grade and enclose with <br />waterproof wrapping as recommended by the manufacturer, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.01 DUCTWORK MATERIALS <br /> <br />A. Vinyl Ester Duct: <br />1. Centrifugally Cast, 14-inch and smaller <br />ASTM 02997, RTRP-21B, centrifugally cast, reinforced vinyl ester resin duct <br />with 30 milliner, Fibercast "Centricast III VE". <br />2. Filament-Wound, 16-inch and smaller <br />ASTM D2996, RTRP-12ED-101, -12EF-311, and -12EQ-311, or -12EU-311, <br />with at least a 20 mil reinforced liner, Ameron "Bondstrand Series 5000", <br />Fibercast "F-Chem 1222" or "F-Chem-V", Smith Fiberglass Products "Poly <br />Thread", or Beetle "Series 5000.. <br />3. Filament-Wound, 18-inch and larger <br />ASTM 02310, RTRP-12ED, -11 EO, or -12EU, with at least a 20 mil reinforced <br />liner, Ameron "Bondstrand Series 5000", Fibercast "F-Chem-V", or Smith <br />Fiberglass Products "Big Thread", or Beetle "Series 5000., <br /> <br />B. Fittings and Flanges: I <br />Manufacturer's standard, glass fiber reinforced, compatible with the duct provided <br />and with chemical resistance equal to or greater than the duct. Flanges will comply <br /> <br />15892-3 <br />
