Regular Meeting October 25, 2004 Page 13 I Mayor Narvaiz introduced the City Council's Report. 1) Mayor Narvaiz stated she and Dan Rogers, Economic Development Director, went to Seattle, Washington to learn more about the commuter rail. Mayor Narvaiz introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the Government Code, Section 551.071, to seek the City Attorney's advice regarding pending litigation, contemplated litigation, a settlement offer, or a matter involving attorney-client privilege (Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Tourism and Economic Development Contracts); Section 551.074, to discuss duties of a public officer (City Clerk); and Section 551.087, to discuss commercial or financial information the City has received from a business prospect that the City seeks to have locate, stay or expand in or near the City and with which the City is conducting economic development negotiations, or to deliberate the offer of a financial or other incentive to such a business prospect (Hotel and Conference Center Project; IH35/McCarty area). Mr. Mihalkanin moved the Council adjourn into Executive Session at 9:06 p.m. and Mr. Guerrero seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Guerrero moved the Council reconvene at 10:33 p.m. and Mr. Mihalkanin seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. IMayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration action or direction to Staff on matters discussed in Executive Session. Mr. O'Leary stated Council provided direction regarding Mr. Hammons and the Texas Coaches Association. He stated the Council provided direction regarding the Hispanic Chamber contracts. He also stated the Council reviewed information on election voting equipment.
