<br />I <br /> <br />necessary for the proper performance of their duties. <br /> <br />(c) Members of the Main Street advisory board arc ineligible for reappointment <br />under Section 2.068 of this code remain ineligible for a period of one year from <br />the expiration of their last term of office, rather than for a full term of office as <br />stated in Section 2.068(e) of this code. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. Section 2.231 of the City Code is amended as follows (underlining <br />indicates added text; overstrike indicates deleted text): <br /> <br />Sec. 2.231. Established; appointment of members; organization. <br /> <br />(a) There is established the human services advisory board. The board consists of <br />eight citizens of the city, appointed by the city council. Seven members will be <br />voting members and the eighth member will be a non-voting member, and will be <br />a person with a degree in social work with experience in social service <br />administration. All members will be committed to the development and <br />enhancement of human services in the city. Members are appointed to two-year <br />staggered terms, with four of thcm cxpiring September 30 of odd numbered years <br />and with four of them expiring September 30 of even numbered years. members <br />being appointed in even-number years, and four members being appointed in odd- <br />numbered years. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />(b) The board will annually, at its first meeting after September 30, elect a <br />chairperson and vice-chairperson. The board may elect other officers and form <br />committees as it may determine is necessary for the proper performance of its <br />duties. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. Section 2.251 of the City Code is amended as follows (underlining <br />indicates added text; o','erstrike indicates deleted text): <br /> <br />Sec. 2.251. Established; memberships and terms. <br /> <br />(a) The cemetery commission is established. <br /> <br />(b) The commission will consist of seven members who will be appointed by the <br />director of parks and recreation. <br /> <br />(c) The terms of office of members will be staggered. The terms of three members <br />will expire on June 30th of in odd-numbered years, and the other four terms will <br />expire on June 30th of in even-numbered years.
