<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />25. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 20~- 181 <br /> <br />R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS APPROVING THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE STATEMENT <br />OF GRANT AWARD FROM THE STATE OF TEXAS, OFFICE OF THE <br />ATTORNEY GENERAL CRIME VICTIM SERVICES DIVISION FOR A <br />VICTIM COORDINATORAND LIAISON GRANT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO ACT ON THE CITY'S BEHALF \NITH REGARD TO THIS <br />AMENDMENT AND TO EXECUTE ALL CONTRACTS AND OTHER <br />RELATED DOCUMENTS WITH THE OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY <br />GENERAL AS NECESSARY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. The City of San Marcos Police Department received a Crime Victim Services <br />grant for FY2004 and FY2005 to establish a Crime Victim Services Unit to address the <br />needs of crime victims in the San Marcos community. <br /> <br />2. The State of Texas, Office of the Attorney General (the "OAG") has notified <br />the City that the second term of the grant has been funded. <br /> <br />3. The City will not use the existence of an OAG grant award to offset or <br />decrease total salaries, expenses, and allowances that the Police Department receives <br />from the City at or after the time the grant is awarded. <br /> <br />4. In the event of loss or misuse of OAG funds, the City assures that the funds <br />will be returned to the OAG in full. <br /> <br />RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. <br />approved. <br /> <br />The attached First Amendment to the Statement of Grant Award is <br /> <br />PART 2. The City Manager, Dan O'Leary, is authorized to act on the City's <br />behalf with regard to this Amendment and to execute all contracts and other related <br />documents with the OAG as necessary. <br /> <br />PART 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and <br />after its passage. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this the 25TH day of October <br /> <br />,2004. <br />
