RESOLUTION 20~- 181 R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE STATEMENT OF GRANT AWARD FROM THE STATE OF TEXAS, OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL CRIME VICTIM SERVICES DIVISION FOR A VICTIM COORDINATORAND LIAISON GRANT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACT ON THE CITY'S BEHALF \NITH REGARD TO THIS AMENDMENT AND TO EXECUTE ALL CONTRACTS AND OTHER RELATED DOCUMENTS WITH THE OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL AS NECESSARY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. RECITALS: 1. The City of San Marcos Police Department received a Crime Victim Services grant for FY2004 and FY2005 to establish a Crime Victim Services Unit to address the needs of crime victims in the San Marcos community. 2. The State of Texas, Office of the Attorney General (the "OAG") has notified the City that the second term of the grant has been funded. 3. The City will not use the existence of an OAG grant award to offset or decrease total salaries, expenses, and allowances that the Police Department receives from the City at or after the time the grant is awarded. 4. In the event of loss or misuse of OAG funds, the City assures that the funds will be returned to the OAG in full. RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. approved. The attached First Amendment to the Statement of Grant Award is PART 2. The City Manager, Dan O'Leary, is authorized to act on the City's behalf with regard to this Amendment and to execute all contracts and other related documents with the OAG as necessary. PART 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its passage. ADOPTED this the 25TH day of October ,2004.
