Womack <br />Mark Taylor <br />Laurie Anderson <br />Stephanie Langenkamp <br />Carol Barrett <br />Tom Taggart <br />Mike Baker <br />Howard Williams <br />Rodney Cobb <br />Rodney Gonzales <br />Richard Mendoza <br />Mark Brinkley <br />Bob Higgs <br />Collette Jamison <br /> <br />Also present: Bill Cunningham, Tom McNair, Tom Rowe, Camille Phillips, Dan <br />Rogers, Tom Wassenich, Todd Derkacz, Betsy Robertson, Richard Garza, <br />Stephanie Garcia, and Shelley Goodwin. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Narvaiz lead <br />the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced the Citizen Comment Period. 1) Lorraine Spencer; <br />stated she wished to speak to Item 18, adoption of the Hotel/Conference <br />Center MOU and Item 31, regarding the PILOT. She inquired about the <br />downgrade from a Renaissance Hotel to an Embassy Suites. She stated she <br />was concerned that a piece of property the size of The Exchange can just <br />be taken off the tax rolls. She inquired whether the City Council knew <br />about the removal of this property off the tax roll when it happened. 2) <br />Camille Phillips stated she wished to speak regarding Item 18, adoption of <br />I the Hotel/Conference Center MOU. She stated she is with Vote San Marcos, <br />which would allow voters to vote on the proposed Conference Center. She <br />stated the citizens of San Marcos first heard about the Conference Center <br />after the May 15th election. She also stated the two candidates running <br />
