<br />40. <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />November 8, 2004 <br /> <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to I <br />speak. No one did, so Mayor Narvaiz closed the public hearing. Mr. Taylor <br />moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance, and Mr. Thomaides seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption <br />of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING A 6.4988 ACRE, <br />MORE OR LES S , TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 2350 CLOVI S BARKER ROAD AS <br />"LI" LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak. No one did, so Mayor Narvaiz closed the public hearing. Mr. <br />Thomaides moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance, and Mr. Guerrero <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption <br />of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, I <br />AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF THE CITY FROM <br />HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL, OPEN SPACE AND INDUSTRIAL TO COMMERCIAL FOR <br />A 8.95 ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT NEAR STATE HIGHWAY 123 AND WONDER <br />WORLD DRIVE; FROM HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL, OPEN SPACE AND INDUSTRIAL <br />TO LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL FOR A 20.64 ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT NEAR <br />STATE HIGHWAY 123 AND WONDER WORLD DRIVE; FROM HIGH DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL, OPEN SPACE AND INDUSTRIAL TO PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL <br />FOR AS. 30 ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT NEAR STATE HIGHWAY 123 AND <br />WONDER WORLD DRIVE; FROM HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL, OPEN SPACE AND <br />INDUSTRIAL TO OPEN SPACE FOR A 6.64 ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT NEAR <br />STATE HIGHWAY 123 AND WONDER WORLD DRIVE; AND FROM HIGH DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL, OPEN SPACE AND INDUSTRIAL TO INDUSTRIAL FOR A 11.15 <br />ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT NEAR STATE HIGHWAY 123 AND WONDER WORLD <br />DRIVE; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak. No one did, so Mayor Narvaiz closed the public hearing. Mr. <br />Guerrero moved for adoption of Resolution, and Mr. Thomaides seconded the <br />motion. Mr. Guerrero inquired to whether this proposed zoning is shown on <br />the Transportation Master plan and Thoroughfare Master Plan as the future I <br />extension of State Highway 21. Mr. O'Leary stated on the Transportation <br />Master Plan and Thoroughfare Master Plan Highway 123 will extend through <br />San Marcos adjacent to this property. Mr. Thomaides inquired as to the <br />kind of industry the applicant is proposing for this property. Mr. <br />
