<br />77. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Annexation <br />Service Plan <br /> <br />Cottonwood Creek Subdivision <br />Remainder (AN-2004-0S) <br /> <br /> <br />Service Plan for the Annexation of 13.49 Acre Area <br /> <br />Pursuant to the provisions of the Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 43, the <br />following servIce plan is hereby adopted for the annexatIon of the 13.49 acre area. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />In October of 2002 the CIty of San Marcos annexed approximately 677 acres of land <br />along the State HIghway 123 corridor south of Redwood Road, This annexatIOn, known <br />as the "SH 123 South Annexation", mcluded approximately 458 acres of the proposed <br />Cottonwood Creek subdivIsion, However, a 13.49 acre tract that is also part of this <br />proposed subdivision was not included in that annexation, Therefore, the CIty is <br />proposing, at the request of the property owner, to annex this 13.49 acre tract into the <br />CIty of San Marcos, The proposed annexation area is currently undeveloped. <br /> <br />1. Police Protection <br />PolIce services, mcluding patrolling, response to calls and other routine services, wIll <br />begm on the effectIve date of the annexatIon usmg eXIstmg personnel and equipment. <br /> <br />2. Fire Protection <br />Fire protection servIces, mcludmg emergency response calls, WIll begm on the effective <br />date of the annexation usmg existing personnel and eqUIpment and wIthm the lImItatIOns <br />of the available water supply. <br /> <br />3. Emereency Medical Services <br />Emergency medical services, including emergency response calls, will contmue at the <br />same level of servIce after the annexatIon, The CIty of San Marcos contracts for <br />emergency medical services through the San Marcos - Hays County EMS, which already <br />proVIdes service to the area being annexed. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />4. Solid Waste Collection <br />SolId Waste Collection services, currently provided under contract WIth a private <br />contractor, will be made available to all reSIdences on the effective date ofthe <br />annexation, Residents of the annexed area may elect to continue using the services of a <br />private solid waste hauler for a period of two years after the effective date of the <br />annexation, Businesses and mstitutIOns must make arrangements WIth private solid waste <br />haulers. <br /> <br />DRAFT August 11,2004 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 3 of <br />EXHIBIT C <br /> <br />Page lof2 <br />
