<br />Block Grant funds shall be waived. The city council may grant a waiver of construction I <br />permit fees for projects funded in part with Community Development Block Grant funds on a <br />case-by-case basis. <br /> <br />(d) Construction permit fees shall be waived for housing construction proiects of Habitat for <br />Humanity, San Marcos, Texas Chapter. <br /> <br />(~ d) A waiver under this section does not include contractor fees, license fees, or fees <br />charged under other chapters of this Code. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Section 14.008 ofthe City Code is amended as follows (underlining indicates <br />added text; overstrike indicates deleted text): <br /> <br />Sec. 14.008. Permit application--Filing; fees. <br /> <br />(a) All permit applications shall be made upon forms provided by the building official. <br /> <br />(b) Once a permit application is determined by the building inspection division to be <br />complete, the division will inform the applicant of the amount of the permit fee. An <br />application will not be considered to be filed with the building inspection division unless and <br />until this completeness is verified and the full amount of the permit fee is paid. A permit fee <br />may be wholly or partially waived in a written development incentive agreement with the I <br />city. <br /> <br />(c) The building official may require that a plan review fee be paid by a permit applicant at <br />the time an application is submitted. The payment of the plan review fee will not be deemed <br />to constitute the filing of the application, and the application will not be considered to be <br />filed with the building inspection division unless and until the application is verified to be <br />complete and the full amount of the permit fee is paid. <br /> <br />(d) If the scope of work is increased during the construction period relative to the work <br />authorized to be done under the permit, the permit holder shall file an amended permit <br />application and pay additional fees that are assessed based on the increase in scope prior to <br />beginning any work not covered by the original permit. <br /> <br />(e) Permit fees are established by city council. <br /> <br />ill Construction permit fees for proj ects having a construction value of $1000.00 or less shall <br />be waived for each local taxing unit, as defined in the state Tax Code, that is authorized to <br />impose and is imposing ad valorem taxes on property. <br /> <br />{gLConstruction permit fees for projects funded in whole with Community Development <br />Block Grant funds shall be waived.
