ORDINANCE NO. 2004 - 62 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE TRAFFIC REGISTER MAINTAINED UNDER SECTION 82.067 OF THE SAN MARCOS CITY CODE TO CHANGE THE TIME LIMIT ON THE PARKING SPACES ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE 300 BLOCK OF NORTH GUADALUPE STREET FROM 15 MINUTES TO ONE HOUR; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. RECITALS: 1. The Traffic Register, required by Section 82.067 of the City Code of Ordinances needs to be amended to change the time limit on parking spaces on the east side of the 300 block of North Guadalupe Street from 15 minutes to one hour. The Parking Advisory Board recommended this change at its September 15, 2004 meeting. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: I SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 82.066 of the City of San Marcos Code of Ordinances, the Traffic Register is amended to change the time limit on parking spaces on the east side of the 300 block of North Guadalupe Street from 15 minutes to one hour. SECTION 2. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions of this ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect without the invalid portion. SECTION 3. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions in conflict with this ordinance are repealed. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days from and after its passage, and the City Clerk will publish notice of its adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the City.
