Section 3.09 of the City Charter provides that the City Council "shall hold at least two regular meetings in each month at a time to be fixed by it for such regular meetings". 2. The City Council wishes to revise City Code Sections 2.041 and 2.042 pertaining to the day and time and the order of business for regular City Council meetings. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: I SECTION 1. Sections 2.041 and 2.042 of the City Code are amended as follows (underlining indicates added text; e-vef5tfike indicates deleted text): Sec. 2.041. Time of meetings. Regular meetings of the city council are held at 2-1:00 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays second and fourth Mondays of each month. The mayor may issue proclamations at 5:30 p.m. before each regular meeting. Sec. 2.042. Order of business. The order of business for regular city council meetings is as follows: (1) Call to order. (2) Roll call. (3) Pledge of allegiance. (4) Executive session. (5) Discussion or action on items from executive session. I (6) Citizen comments (limited to 30 minutes).
