I I Scope of Work 1. Description: This item shall govern for the cutting of vegetation and the removal of debris in selected right-of-ways, alleyways, creeks and other open waterways in conformance with the details as shown on the plans provided by City staff. Equipment: The following equipment will be the minimum that will be used in the performance of the work. Walk-behind mowers, weed-eaters, chainsaws, riding tractor with shredder, push mower, blowers and other hand tools as needed. In the event larger equipment is needed, we will notify the appropriate City personnel for approval. Sequence of work: Work to cut vegetation in the right-of-ways, vacant land, alleyways and a pond will begin within thirty (30) days from the notice to proceed. It is recommended that prior to the start of work; the City and the Contract Manager for Easter Seals meet and discuss scheduling priorities. Depending on when the notice to proceed is given, work in the creeks mayor may not begin within the 30 days. It is recommended that due to the nature ofthe soils and ground water conditions currently in and around the creeks, it may be preferable to postpone the first cut of these creeks until conditions are a little dryer. However, should this prove to be a hardship for the City, work in these areas will also begin within 30 days of notice to proceed. Maintenance time limits: This proposal is for the cutting and/or removal of vegetation and debris from right-of-ways, vacant land, alleyways and a pond on a varying basis. Cutting height: In those areas that require the use of a mower, the height of the blades will be set at a maximum of 2-3 inches. For those areas requiring use of weed-eaters, employees will strive to maintain a uniform height of 4 inches. However, due to the varying relief of the terrain, vegetation heights may be more or less than 4 inches. Measurements: The information provided by the City to Easter Seals indicating the location and size of each work site will be considered accurate and is the basis for all associated prices.
