Wastewater lines currently exist in the <br />subject area as follows: <br /> <br />12" and 24" lines along portions of the IH-35 access road with <br />a lift station near the intersection of the access road and <br />River Road, <br />20" force main along River Road, <br />6" wastewater line along Flores Drive with a lift station at <br />the intersection of Flores Drive and Tampico Street, and <br />8" wastewater line along McKie Street. <br /> <br />Due to the soil conditions and floodplain, the area is not <br />suitable for septic tanks. <br /> <br />Water Distribution System Facilities <br /> <br />Water mains currently exist in the area as follows: <br /> <br />12" water main along a portion of IH-35 access road, <br />8" water main along Flores Drive and McKie Street, and <br />6" water main along west River Road. <br /> <br />These lines are located within City street right-of-ways and <br />adjacent to proposed annexation area. <br /> <br />Water services can be provided immediately upon annexation in the <br />following manner: (1) subdivision of land would require extension <br />by the developer from the water main within the street right-of-way <br />to the subdivision as per the City of San Marcos Subdivision <br />Ordinance, (2) or normal tap service is provided the property line <br />by the City with tap fee being paid by the user. <br /> <br />The City currently services two (2) accounts for water serVlce <br />within the proposed annexed area. <br /> <br />Solid Waste Collection <br /> <br />Solid waste collection will be provided to the annexed area <br />immediately upon request by owners of property for service. <br /> <br />Maintenance of Public Streets <br /> <br />The City would maintain the County Road under its current conditions <br />until such time as it is reconstructed to conform with City specifi- <br />
