<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br />OF SAN HARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PRICE
<br />AND CONDITIONS OF THE SALE BY THE CITY OF
<br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, OF THE NORTHWEST ONE-HALF
<br />(NW 1/2) OF LOT "G", BLOCK TWO (2), B.W.
<br />BREEDING ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN ~~RCOS,
<br />HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, TO THE GREATER BETHEL
<br />BAPTIST CHURCH, OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; AUTHORIZING
<br />THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED TO THE
<br />GREATER BETHEL BAPTIST CHURCH OF SAN ~~RCOS,
<br />TEXAS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

<br />ORDINANCE 1982-34
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, advertised for
<br />bids for the sale of the Northwest One-half (rn~ 1/2) of Lot
<br />"G" Block Two (2), B.W. Breeding Addition to the City of San
<br />Marcos, in Hays County, Texas, also known as Urban Renewal
<br />Parcel No. 25A-4, in the San Marcos Record, a local newspaper
<br />with a general circulation in the County of Hays, State of
<br />Texas, on May 9, 1982 and May 16, 1982; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement a bid was submitted
<br />by the Greater Bethel Baptist Church of San Marcos, Texas, for
<br />said described property in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars
<br />( $ 5 0 0 . 00); and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said bid met the minimum disposition price set
<br />for said property by the Urban Renewal Board of Commissioners of
<br />the City of San Marcos, Texas on April 13, 1982; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said Board accepted the bid as the highest and
<br />best responsible bid for said property on June 1, 1982; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said Board recommends the approval of said purchase
<br />price and the approval of the terms and conditions for said sale,
<br />as contained in the bid document; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN ~~~RCOS,
<br />TEXAS:

<br />SECTION 1. That the terms and conditions of the sale by the
<br />City of San Marcos, Texas, of the Northwest One-half (NW 1/2) of
<br />Lot "G", Block Two (2), B.W. Breeding Addition to the City of
<br />San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, according to the map or plat
<br />thereof, recorded in Vol. "0", Page 202, Hays County Deed Records,
<br />and as conveyed to Willie Mae Beard by Deed Recorded in Vol. 170,
<br />Page 471, Hays County Deed Records, save and except that portion
<br />conveyed to the Greater Bethal Baptist Church by deed recorded
<br />in Volume 289, Page 493, Hays County Deed Records, also known as
<br />Urban Renewal Parcel No. 25A-4, to the Greater Bethel Baptist
<br />Church of San Marcos, Texas, are hereby approved.
<br />
<br />SECTION 2. That the consideration of Five Hundred Dollars
<br />($500.00) for said property be, and the same is hereby approved.
<br />
<br />SECTION 3. That the purchaser is hereby placed on notice
<br />that the subject property is subject to assessment under the
<br />provisions of Article 1105b, Texas Revised Civil Statutes.
<br />
<br />SECTION 4. That the mayor of the City of San Marcos, Texas,
<br />Emmie Craddock be, and she is hereby, authorized to execute a
<br />warranty deed to the Greater Bethel Baptist Church of San Marcos,
<br />Texas, from the City of San Marcos, for said property.
<br />
<br />SECTION 5. That the importance of this Ordinance creates an
<br />emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the provisions
<br />of the charter requiring that ordinances shall be read on three
<br />separate meetings and that no ordinance shall become effective un-
<br />til the expiration of ten (10) days following the date of its
<br />
