<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
<br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING
<br />FINAL PAYMENT TO E-Z BEL CONSTRUCTION
<br />COMPANY,INC. OF SAN ANTONIO, TEXA~ FOR
<br />CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS
<br />ON ALABAMA AND ROOSEVELT STREETS IN SAID
<br />CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas,
<br />on March 4, 1982, after duly advertising for and receiving bids
<br />on the project,entered into a contract with E-Z Bel Construction
<br />Company, Inc., for the construction of sidewalk improvements on
<br />Alabama and Roosevelt Streets in said City; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the original contract amount was $22,486.40; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS said contract amount was subsequently increased by
<br />$3,740.60, for a revised contract amount of $26,227.00; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, previous payments have been made by said City to
<br />E-Z Bel Construction Company, Inc., said payments of a total
<br />amount of $23,604.30; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, final inspection on said sidewalk construction
<br />was conducted on June 16, 1982, by George Boeker, Director of
<br />Public Works, Bill McCauley, Superintendent of Public Works and
<br />Wayne Henderson, Public Works Inspector; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said construction work was found to be in substantial
<br />compliance with the terms and conditions of that contract between
<br />the City of San Marcos and E-Z Bel Construction Company, Inc. of
<br />San Antonio, Texas, entered into on March 4, 1982; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, George Boeker has recommended acceptance of said
<br />construction work by the City of San Marcos, Texas, as of June
<br />14, 1982,and final payment to E-Z Bel Copstruction Company, Inc.
<br />in the amount of $2622.70; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS:
<br />
<br />PART 1. That the project of construction of sidewalk improve-
<br />ments on Alabama and Roosevelt Streets, completed by E-Z Bel
<br />Construction Company, be accepted for use by the city of San Marcos,
<br />Texas, as of the date of final inspection of said project, June
<br />16,1982.
<br />
<br />PART 2. That final payment in the amount of $2622.70 be
<br />made to E-Z Bel Construction Company, Inc. for construction of
<br />said sidewalks.
<br />
<br />PART 3. That this resolution shall become effective
<br />immediately from and after its passage.
<br />
