<br /> <br />103 <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 1982-31 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN ~ffiRCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THAT ORDINANCE <br />ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 8, 1981, WHICH SET FORTH AN <br />ITEMIZED ESTIMATE OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING <br />EACH ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT OF THE MUNICIPAL <br />GOVERNMENT OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR <br />BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 1, 1981, AND ENDING ON <br />SEPTEMBER 30, 1982, AND APPROPRIATED ~10NEY FOR <br />THE VARIOUS FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTI- <br />14ATE TO REVISE SAID ESTIMATES AND TO REAPPRO- <br />PRIATE SAID FUNDS; ADOPTING SAID REVISIONS AND <br />ESTIMATES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />after notice and public hearing, adopted the budget for said city <br />for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1981 and ending September <br />30, 1982, on September 8, 1981; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said budget set forth itemized estimates of the ex- <br />pense of conducting the San Marcos municipal government for said <br />fiscal year and appropriated money for the various funds and pur- <br />poses of such estimate; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City Charter <br />of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Council declares that <br />a public necessity exists, which requires amendment of said <br />budget, now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />~ffiRCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That that Ordinance of September 8, 1981, which <br />set forth an itemized estimate of the expense of conduct~ng each <br />administrative unit of the municipal government of said city for <br />the fiscal year beginning on October 1, 1981, and ending on <br />September 30, 1982, and appropriated money for the various funds <br />and purposes of such estimate, be, and the same is hereby, <br />amended as set forth in Exhibit A which is attached hereto and is <br />incorporated herein, in words and figures as shown therein, for <br />all intents and purposes. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That the said revisions and reappropriations, <br />which shall be the amended budget for the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, for the fiscal year 1981-82 beginning October 1, 1981 and <br />ending on September 30, 1982, be, and the same are hereby, <br />approved and adopted. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. That the importance of this Ordinance creates <br />an emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the provisions <br />of the charter requiring that ordinances shall be read at three <br />separate meetings and that no ordinance shall become effective <br />until the expiration of ten (10) days following the date of its <br />final passage be suspended, and these provisions are hereby sus- <br />pended, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force <br />and effect from and after its adoption and publication in a news- <br />paper of general circulation within the City. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 16th day of August <br />1982. <br /> <br /> <br />Emmie Craddock <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />~~~ <br /> <br />City Attord~y~ <br /> <br />s K.
