<br />104 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1982-38R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING AN AGREE- <br />MENT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THE TEXAS DEPART- <br />MENT OF HEALTH FOR SERVICES PURSUANT TO THE <br />SPECIAL SUPPLEMENTAL FOOD PROGRAM FOR ~'70HEN, <br />INFANTS AND CHILDREN (WIC); AUTHORIZING THE <br />CITY ~ffiNAGER OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID <br />AGREEMENT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas wishes to continue its participation in the Special <br />Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children <br />(WIC) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) <br />which provides food and nutritional information to quali- <br />fied participants; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Council is willing to assume adminis- <br />trative control of the local program; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. That the Agreement between the City of San <br />Marcos, Texas and the Texas Department of Health for ser- <br />vices pursuant to the Special Supplemental Food Program <br />for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) of the United States <br />Department of Agriculture, a copy of which is attached here- <br />to and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes be, <br />and is hereby, approved in all respects. <br /> <br />PART 2. That the City Manager of said city, A. C. Gon- <br />zalez, be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute said <br />agreement on behalf of city. <br /> <br />PART 3.
