<br />-2- <br /> <br />purposes in those areas described in Part II. One of the three <br /> <br /> <br />fire trucks shall be City Fire Truck #309, and City hereby agrees <br /> <br />that said Fire Truck #309 shall be loaned by City to County for <br /> <br />the term of this Agreement. <br /> <br />IV. <br />Said three fire trucks shall be housed in the County at <br />sites to be selected by County and shall be used to fight fires <br />which originate in the County. <br /> <br />V. <br /> <br /> <br />Volunteer members of the City of San Marcos Fire Department, <br /> <br /> <br />whether or not those members are residents of City, shall be <br /> <br /> <br />primarily responsible for providing fire protection services ln <br /> <br />those areas of County described in Part II. Said volunteers <br /> <br /> <br />shall have rights of access pursuant to departmental policy to <br /> <br /> <br />the communication system of City maintained by City for use by <br /> <br />the City of San Marcos Fire Department. Provided, however, that <br /> <br />said volunteers shall continue to be utilized to fight fires <br /> <br /> <br />occurring within the corporate limits of City to as great an <br /> <br /> <br />extent as is practicable while maintaining City's responsibilities <br /> <br /> <br />pursuant to this provision. And provided further that the Fire <br /> <br />Chief of City shall at all times be in control of both paid and <br /> <br /> <br />volunteer members of the City of San Marcos Fire Department. <br /> <br />VI. <br /> <br /> <br />County shall have full and complete responsibility for all <br /> <br /> <br />maintenance and repair of the three fire trucks required to be <br /> <br />provided by County by Part III of this Agreement. County shall <br /> <br />provide all gasoline required for said trucks. <br /> <br />VII. <br /> <br /> <br />Should a fire occur in those areas described in Part II <br /> <br />of this Agreement which, ln the opinion of the Chief of the <br /> <br /> <br />volunteer members of the San Marcos Fire Department, is too exten- <br /> <br /> <br />sive to be handled solely by said volunteers, said Chief or his/her <br /> <br />designee shall request assistance from the City of San Marcos Fire <br />
