<br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />PERFORMANCE STATEMENT <br /> <br />City of San Marcos, Texas <br /> <br />Company shall carry out the following activities in the target area(s) identified on the map in its 2003 <br />Revolving Loan Fund application: <br /> <br />Project Summary <br /> <br />The purpose of this Economic Development project is to provide infrastructure / real estate <br />activities/improvements in the form of site work, utility site work, septic, landscaping, signage, and other <br />façade improvements to the proposed facility in support of Cal Tex Partners L TD (hereinafter referred to as <br />the "Company"). The Company will be constructing a 24,000 square foot building and a 11,765 square foot <br />building on a 10-acre tract of land located at 4600 State Highway 123, Hays County, Texas. The legal <br />description is provided in subsection 21.8.18 and described by metes and bounds in Exhibit "E" attached. <br />This tract of land is defined and referred to as the "project site". The improvements will allow the Company <br />to expand its operations in the two-mile extra-territorial jurisdiction of the City of San Marcos. The <br />Company is a manufacturer of architectural fountain systems. The national objective of this project is to <br />primarily benefitlow-to-moderate income ("LMI") persons through permanent job creation/retention. <br /> <br />Project Activities <br /> <br />The City-Funded Improvements were established in the application process to be the improvements <br />_ntified below. Company shall expend a total of $250,000.00 of contract funds for the following activities: <br /> <br />Sewer Activities in the amount of $12,000.00. The improvements were established in the application <br />process to consist of a septic system. <br /> <br />Building Construction Activities in the total amount $238,000.00 to prepare the site to construct a <br />24,000 square foot pre-engineered building and an 11,765 square foot pre-engineered building on the <br />project site as follows: <br /> <br />Company shall expend a total $183,000.00 for site preparation. <br /> <br />Company shall expend a total of $19,900.00 for site utility preparation/relocation. <br /> <br />Company shall expend a total of $28,000.00 for landscaping. <br /> <br />Company shall expend a total of $5,000.00 for signage. <br /> <br />Company shall expend a total of $5,000.00 for a front canopy. <br /> <br />Company shall expend $25,600.00 of Company funds for the construction of the facility. <br /> <br />Company shall provide to City, upon request, evidence that funds were expended as specified in this <br />...ÁHIBIT A and in EXHIBIT B of this contract. <br /> <br />Project Objective <br />RLF Contract <br /> <br />Page 17 <br />
