<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
<br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE
<br />BID OF GENE BAGWELL, DBA GENE BAGWELL
<br />MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT FOR THE PROVISION
<br />OF MAINTENANCE SERVICES AT THE SAN MARCOS
<br />CEMETERY FOR THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 1,
<br />1982 TO SEPTEMBER 30, 1983; APPROVING THE
<br />TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF A CONTRACT FOR THE
<br />PROVISION OF SAID SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE
<br />MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT
<br />ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, desires to engage
<br />the services of an outside contractor to provide maintenance
<br />at the San Marcos ~tery from October 1, 1982 to September 30,
<br />1983 on the terms and conditions of the attached Contract For
<br />Cemetery Maintenance Services; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said City has duly advertised for bids for said
<br />maintenance services pursuant to the terms and conditions of
<br />said contract; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas,
<br />has examined said bids and believes Gene Bagwell, dba Gene Bagwell
<br />Maintenance Management to be capable of providing said services
<br />for the Contract term and hereby finds and determines that the
<br />bid of Thirty Nine Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($39,600) is the
<br />best and most responsible bid for said services; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said City Council wishes to contract with Gene
<br />Bagwell, dba Gene Bagwell Maintenance Management for the provision
<br />of maintenance services at the San Marcos Cemetery from October 1,
<br />1982 to September 30, 1983, the consideration for said services
<br />to be $39,600, now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />PART 1. That the bid of Thirty Nine Thousand Six Hundred
<br />Dollars ($39,600) submitted by Gene Bagwell, dba Gene Bagwell
<br />Maintenance Management for the provision of maintenance services
<br />at the San Marcos Cemetery from October 1, 1982 to September 30,
<br />1983, be, and the same is hereby, accepted.
<br />
<br />PART 2. That the terms and conditions of the Contract For
<br />Cemetery Maintenance Services, a copy of which is attached here-
<br />to and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes, be, and
<br />the same are hereby, approved in all respects.
<br />
<br />PART 3. That the Mayor of the City of San Marcos, Texas,
<br />Emmie Craddock, be, and she is hereby, authorized to execute the
<br />Contract For Cemetery Maintenance with Gene Bagwell, dba Gene
<br />Bagwell Maintenance Management on behalf of said City.
<br />
<br />PART 4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and
<br />effect immediately from and after its passage.
<br />
