<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
<br />CITY OF SAN tffiRCOS, TEXAS, N1ENDING OR-
<br />DINANCE 1982-41, ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 7,
<br />1982, WHICH SET FORTH AN ITEMIZED ESTI~ffiTE
<br />OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING EACH ADMIN-
<br />ISTRATIVE UNIT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT
<br />OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
<br />OCTOBER 1, 1982, AND ENDING ON SEPTE~mER 30,
<br />1983, AND APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR THE VARIOUS
<br />FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTItffiTE TO REVISE
<br />SAID ESTIMATES AND TO REAPPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS;
<br />ADOPTING SAID REVISIONS AND ESTI~ffiTES AND
<br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

<br />
<br />WHEREAS, after publication of notice, on August 6, 1982,
<br />the City Council of the City of San ~1arcos, Texas, held a
<br />public hearing on August 16, 1982, on the budget proposed
<br />by the City Manager for said City for the fiscal year beginning
<br />October 1, 1982; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, at said public hearing all interested persons
<br />were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item
<br />or the amount of any item therein contained; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, public hearings to consider proposed uses of
<br />Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 14 funds were held on August
<br />2, 1982, and August 16, 1982; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, after said public hearings, the City Council
<br />of the City of San Marcos, Texas, adopted the budget for said
<br />city for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1982, and ending
<br />September 30, 1983, on September 7, 1982; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said budget set forth itemized estimates of the
<br />expense of conducting the San Marcos municipal government for
<br />said fiscal year and appropriated money for the various funds and
<br />purposes of such estimate; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City
<br />Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Council
<br />declares that a public necessity exists, which requires amend-
<br />ment of said budget; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS:

<br />SECTION 1. That Ordinance 1982-41, adopted September
<br />7, 1982, which set forth an itemized estimate of the expense
<br />of conducting each administrative unit of the municipal govern-
<br />ment of said city for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1982,
<br />and ending on September 30, 1983, and appropriated money for
<br />the various funds and purposes of such estimate, be, and the
<br />same is hereby, amended as set forth in Exhibit A which is
<br />attached hereto and is incorporated herein, in words and figures
<br />as shown therein, for all intents and purposes.

<br />SECTION 2. That the said revisions and reappropriations
<br />which shall be the amended budget for the City of San Marcos,
<br />Texas, for the fiscal year 1982-83 beginning October 1, 1982,
<br />and ending on September 30, 1983, be, and the same are hereby,
<br />approved and adopted.
<br />
<br />SECTION 3. That the importance of this Ordinance creates
<br />an emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the
<br />provisions of the charter requiring that ordinances shall be
