<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
<br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING
<br />THE PRICE AND CONDITIONS OF THE SALE BY
<br />THE CITY OF SAN ~ffiRCOS, TEXAS, OF 0.12
<br />ACRES OF LAND,MORE OR LESS, OUT OF THE
<br />J.M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.1 IN SAID CITY
<br />TO DON RAINS; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
<br />EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED TO DON RAINS; AND
<br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, advertised for
<br />bids for the sale of 0.12 acres of land, more or less,out
<br />of the J.M. Veramendi League No.1 in said City, also known
<br />as Urban Renewal Parcel No. 62A-39r in the San Marcos Record,
<br />a local newspaper with a general circulation in the County
<br />of Hays, State of Texas, on June 27, 1982 and July 4, 1982;
<br />and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement a bid was sub-
<br />mitted by Don Rains for said described property in the amount
<br />of five thousand twenty dollars ($5,020.00); and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said bid met the minimum disposition price set
<br />for said property by the Urban Renewal Board of Commissioners
<br />of the City of San Marcos, Texas on June I, 1982; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said Board accepted the bid as the highest and
<br />best responsible bid for said property on July 13, 1982; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said Board recommends the approval of said pur-
<br />chase price and the approval of the terms and conditions for
<br />said sale, as contained in the bid document; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS:

<br />SECTION 1. That the terms and conditions of the sale
<br />by the City of San Marcos, Texas, of 0.12 acres of land, more
<br />or less out of the J.M. Veramendi League No.1 in said City,
<br />more particularly described as follows:
<br />
<br />Being part of property conveyed by Santiago
<br />Turnine, Administrator of the Estate of Jesus
<br />R. Compos, deceased, to Julian Rivera, by deed
<br />dated November 13, 1920, and recorded in Volume
<br />79, Pages 623-624, Hays County Deed Records,
<br />and more particularly described as follows:
<br />
<br />Commencing at an iron pin that marks the intersec-
<br />tion of the South line of Grove Street and the
<br />West line of Hull Street;
<br />
<br />Thence, S 80 E, along the West line of Hull
<br />Street, a distance of 208.7', to an iron pin,
<br />said iron pin marks the northeast corner of the
<br />herein described parcel and is the beginning
<br />point of this description;
<br />
<br />Thence, continuing along the West line of Hull
<br />Street S 80 E, a distance of 50.00' to an iron
<br />pin, said iron pin being the southeast corner of
<br />the herein described parcel;
<br />
<br />Thence, S 820 W, a distance of 104.35' to an
<br />iron pin set in a fence line for the southwest
<br />corner of the herein described parcel;
<br />
<br />Thence, along an existing fence line N 80 W, a
<br />distance of 50.00' to an iron pin, said iron
<br />pin marks the northwest corner of the herein
<br />described parcel;
<br />
<br />Thence, N 820 E, a distance of 104.35' to an
<br />iron pin, said iron pin being the point of beginning,
