On February 14, 2006, the City Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing regarding a request to amend the Future Land Use Map of the Master Plan from Industrial to Commercial for a 30 acre, more or less, tract of property located in the 1300-1400 blocks of Center Point Road. 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission, on February 14, 2006, considered the request and voted to approve it and has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. 3. The City Council held a public hearing on Marc h 18, regarding the request. , 2006, 4. All requirements of the City Master Plan and the City Land Development Code pertaining to Future Land Use Map amendments have been met. 5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of this ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The following described tract of real property, which is in an area shown on the Future Land Use Map of the Master Plan of the City of San Marcos as Industrial, shall be shown on that map as Commercial: Street address: 1300-1400 Blocks of Center Point Road Size: 30 acres, more or less Description: The tract of property depicted on the attached map labeled "Sketch of Proposed 30 Acre Development"
