261 . <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006- 58 R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS EXPRESSING THE CITY'S <br />RENEWED SUPPORT FOR THE CENTRAL TEXAS <br />CLEAN CITIES PROGRAM; APPROVING A <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, Central Texas Clean Cities is a locally based, voluntary effort of over <br />50 companies, agencies and municipalities to expand the use of alternatives to gasoline and <br />diesel fuel, alternative fuel vehicles, and the development of fueling infrastructure to make <br />alternative fuels available; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to express the City's renewed support for <br />Central Texas Clean Cities, and to approve the City's continued participation in Central <br />Texas Clean Cities by approving a memorandum of understanding among the members; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The City Council expresses the renewed support of the City for the <br />programs and activities of Central Texas Clean Cities to expand the use of alternatives to <br />gasoline and diesel fuel, alternative fuel vehicles, and the development of fueling <br />infrastructure to make alternative fuels available. <br />PART 2. The Central Texas Clean Cities Memorandum of Understanding, a copy <br />of which is attached to this resolution, is approved. <br />PART 3. This Resolution is in full force and effect immediately from and after its <br />adoption. <br />ADOPTED on April 4, 2006. <br />Attest: <br />41 <br />Janis K.
