<br />00 <br />O~I ~ <br />i3 <br />UJ~ <br />~~... g <br />I. !. <br /> <br />11:I <br />>-8 <br />0:::... <br /><Cw <br />!:;:j:i <br />fdj <br />en.. <br />81 <br /> <br />64. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 1998---L- <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING <br />MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING THREE TRACTS OF <br />PROPERTY TOTALLING 123.52 ACRES LOCATED IN THE <br />1500 BLOCKS OF CLOVIS BARKER DRIVE TO "L1" LIGHT <br />INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT, AND BY ZONING A 22.15 ACRE <br />TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 1600 BLOCK OF <br />CLOVIS BARKER DRIVE TO "I" INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT; <br />INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING <br />FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. On November 24, 1998, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San <br />Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from "L1" Light <br />Industrial District for a 123.52 acre tract and to "I" Industrial District for a 22.15 acre tract <br />of property located along Clovis Barker Drive. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission did, on November 24, 1998 consider and vote to approve the request, and <br />has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 11th day of <br />January , 1999, regarding the request. <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, ofthe San Marcos City Code pertaining <br />to zoning map amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 114.029 <br />of the San Marcos City Code, is amended to zone the following real property which is <br />presently unzoned to "L1" Light Industrial District: <br /> <br />Street address: <br /> <br />1500 and 1600 Blocks of Clovis Barker Drive. <br /> <br />Size: Tract 1: 58.052 acres. <br />Tract 2: 34.49 acres. <br />Tract 3: 30.97 acres. <br /> <br />Legal description: Tract 1: See the attached Exhibit "A". <br />Tract 2: See the attached Exhibit "B". <br />Tract 3: Lot 1, Gilmore Industrial Park NO.1. <br /> <br />Deed or plat reference: Tracts 1 and 2: Volume 1279, page 181, Hays County <br />Deed Records. <br /> <br />Tract 3: Volume 8, page 196, Hays County Plat <br />Records. <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
