3.4 Billing(Accow ing. City will develop a system of billing that will outline the cases <br />worked, the disciplines utilized and the hours required to perform the request by the client entity. <br />3.5 Other Hays County Entities. During the term of this Agreement, the City may also make <br />the services cited in this Agreement available to the Cities of Buda and Kyle on a case -by -case <br />basis. If such services are made available, the City shall charge those entities the same rates paid <br />by the Client Entities in this Agreement. <br />SECTION 4. CLIENT ENTITY FUNDING <br />4.1 Funding for Services. The Client Entities will provide funding to the City for services <br />rendered. <br />4.2 Amount of Compensation. For and in consideration of the satisfactory performance of <br />services by City in accordance with terms of this Agreement, the Client Entities shall pay the <br />City on a service rendered basis, based on the following agreement: <br />Drug Analysis <br />Cost for Analysis — Pursuant to the original Interlocal Agreement between the Parties, <br />executed on or about March 6, 2012, The City of San Marcos Police Department, the <br />Hays County District Attorney's Office, and the Hays County Sheriff's Office shall <br />collectively pay the City of Austin TWENTY -FOUR THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED <br />AND EIGHTY -EIGHT DOLLARS AND TWENTY -FIVE CENTS ($24,388.25) per <br />quarter to fund a seventh (7`) forensic chemist position (with essential supplies) to <br />perform lab analysis in APD's Forensic Science Division. Compensation for partial <br />calendar -year quarters will be prorated. Due to delays in hiring the seventh (7`h) forensic <br />chemist position, the first quarterly payment under that original Interlocal Agreement (the <br />"Initial Payment') shall be due within thirty (30) days of the date this Agreement is <br />signed by all Parties. The Client Entities hereby agree to bear these costs equally (1/3 <br />each), unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Client Entities. Other than the quarterly <br />payments cited above, no costs for Drug Analyses shall be incurred by the Client Entities. <br />• Turnaround Time <br />o Turnaround time for drug labs will be 14 days. <br />• DNA AnalysisCost for Analysis - To be billed per case, depending on type of evidence <br />and number of samples. <br />• Cost of screening per item $ 50.00 <br />• Cost of sexual assault kit screening $125.00 <br />• Cost of DNA analysis per sample (non - semen) $400.00 <br />• Cost of DNA analysis per sample (semen) $550.00 <br />• Administrative fee (Reporting/Reviews) $ 25.00 <br />• Turnaround Time <br />o Approximately 3 — 5 months depending on priority. <br />Firearms Analysis <br />• Analysis Included: <br />o Function Testing/NIBIN Entry <br />o Firearm and Tool mark Comparison <br />3 <br />
