RESOLUTION NO. 2012 - 07 R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE EDWARDS AQUIFER AUTHORITY PURSUANT TO <br />WHICH THE AUTHORITY WILL CONTRIBUTE FUNDING TO THE <br />CITY IN THE AMOUNT OF $250,000.00 TOWARD THE PURCHASE OF <br />107 ACRES OF LAND FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE PURGATORY <br />CREEK PRESERVE GREEN SPACE, SUBJECT TO THE TERMS OF A <br />CONSERVATION EASEMENT THAT WILL RESTRICT THE USES OF <br />THE PROPERTY TO PRIMARILY PASSIVE RECREATIONAL USES; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID <br />AGREEMENT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The attached Interlocal Agreement between the Edwards Aquifer <br />Authority and the City of San Marcos (the "Interlocal Agreement ") is hereby approved. <br />PART 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute the Interlocal Agreement on <br />behalf of the City. <br />PART 3.
