108 RESOLUTION 1999- 21 R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE RENEWAL OF A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT FOR COMPUTER SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE MAINTENANCE FOR THE INTERGRAPH COMPUTER SYSTEM; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS RENEWAL ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. RECITALS: 1. On March 24, 1992 the City of San Marcos entered into an Equipment Service Contract (the "Contract") with the Intergraph Corporation ("Intergraph") for use with the Intergraph computer system for the City Environment and Engineering Department. 2. The City Council approved the sole source procurement of services to renew the Contract in Resolutions 1993-138-R,1994-175R, 1995-154R and 1996-136R. 3. The Contract was renewed on January 12,1998 and an amendment to the Contract was approved to change the contract expiration from September 30th to January 12th. 4. system. Renewal of the Contract is necessary in order to maintain the computer 5. The maintenance required for the Intergraph system can only be provided by the Intergraph Corporation. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. The renewal of the Contract as a sole source procurement is approved. PART 2. The City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, is authorized to execute the renewal quote sheets for the Contract in the form attached to this resolution on behalf of the City. PART 3.
