<br />SECTION 19. The additional compensation to be paid judges who deliver returns <br />of the election is established at $25.00. <br /> <br />SECTION 20. A runoff election for the position of City Council Member for Place <br />3, and/or City Council Member for Place 4, if necessary, shall be held on Saturday, May <br />29, 1999. <br /> <br />SECTION 21. If any portion of this Ordinance is held invalid by a court of <br />competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions of this Ordinance shall remain in full force <br />and effect. <br /> <br />SECTION 22. The importance of this Ordinance creates an emergency and an <br />imperative public necessity, and the provisions of the Charter requiring that ordinances be <br />presented at three separate meetings, and that ordinances do not take effect until ten (10) <br />days after the date of final passage are suspended, and this Ordinance will take effect <br />upon publication of notice of its adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the City. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this the 8th day of February, 1999. <br /> <br />l'J~~.~ <br /> <br />Billy G.
