<br />EXHIDIT A <br />DUTIES, RESPONSIDILITIES AND LIMITATIONS <br />OF AUTHORITY OF THE RESIDENT PROJECT REPRESENTATIVE <br />TxDOT CSJ No.: 9842SMRCO <br /> <br />A. General. <br /> <br />The Resident Project Representative (RPR), as the Engineer's agent, will act as directed by and <br />under the supervision of the Engineer, and will confer with the Engineer regarding RPR's actions. <br />The Resident Project Representative's dealings in matters pertaining to the on-site work shall in <br />general be with the Engineer, Agent's Construction Manager and Contractor, keeping the Sponsor <br />advised as necessary. Dealings with the subcontractors shall only be through or with the full <br />knowledge of the Contractor. <br /> <br />B. Duties and Responsibilities. <br /> <br />Resident Project Representative will: <br /> <br />1. Conferences. Attend preconstruction conference. Arrange and conduct a schedule <br />of progress/coordination meetings and other job conferences as required in consultation with the <br />Engineer and notify in advance the Agent's Construction Manager, Sponsor's Representative, <br />Contractor and others that will be expected to attend. Record, maintain and circulate copies of <br />minutes to all attendees. <br /> <br />2. Schedules. Review the progress schedule, schedule of submittals and schedule of <br />values prepared by the Contractor and consult with the Engineer concerning their acceptability. <br /> <br />3. Liaison. <br /> <br />a. Serve as the Engineer's liaison with the contractor superintendent and assist <br />the superintendent in understanding the intent of the Contract Documents. Assist the Engineer in <br />serving as the Sponsor's liaison with the Contractor when the Contractor's operations affect the <br />Sponsor's on-site operations. <br /> <br />b. As requested by the Engineer, assist in obtaining from the Agent's <br />Construction Manager additional details or information, when requested at the job site for proper <br />execution of the work. <br /> <br />4. Submittals. <br /> <br />a. Receive and record date of receipt of all required Submittals, receive all <br />samples which are furnished at the site by the Contractor, and notify the Engineer of their <br />availability for examination. <br />b.
